Australis Paparazzi Perfect High Definition Blush - Shoot to Thrill
This australis blush is a new addition to my makeup collection. On my most recent trip to Kmart I planned to buy some australis lip colours but decided I would give their blushes a try instead. I had heard some amazing things about them so for the price ($12.95 AUD) I couldn't pass it up. Only problem was there were no testers in the store so I had to get on my phone and look up some pictures so I could make a decision what colour to pick. The others were all really nice but this colour, Shoot to Thrill, was nothing like any other blushes I own.
Firstly I want to mention how great the quality of the packaging is. Its very sturdy and takes a bit of effort to actually open the container so you know it wont be opening in your bag or getting broken. It has a huge mirror as well which is really convenient.
The product itself is highly pigmented (so it is really great it comes with a mirror so when touching up you dont end up walking around with bright pink cheeks) so you have to use a really (and i mean REALLY) small amount - otherwise it will take a lot of blending to fix. I guess it could be a bit of a downside to the product as you have to be very careful when applying it not to over-apply, but once you get used to it (after a few failed attempts) it is great because the blush will last such a long time. Also I'm really impressed with the quantity especially for the price. I would say it contains a lot more product than any other high end or drugstore blush and it works just as well and looks just as good as any high-end blush.
This particular colour contains a three different tones of bright pink. Its easy to use just the colour you want to or you can mix them all together. This blush looks fairly shimmery but once on your cheeks you can't see the shimmers at all.
Milani Baked Blush - 05 Luminoso
When I first got this colour I didn't really like it all that much and didn't think I would ever wear it. But once i put it on my cheeks I absolutely loved it. Its such a soft colour and has some fine shimmer in it so it gives your cheeks a nice natural glow. It's very long lasting and highly pigmented so it is a good blush to wear out all day without having to retouch. The packaging also has a mirror on the underside of the blush and comes with a little brush. I definitely want to try out the other colours in the Milani Baked Blush range so when I get the chance I will be buying more. I got mine from beautyjoint for about $7.50 AUD which is such good value. I have had this for a while and been using it almost daily and as it is so pigmented and you don't need a lot of product, it will really last a long time.
